American Slang

As many of you know from you own Idioma classrooms, there are a lot of different idiomatic expressions in English (check out the Idioma Idioms in your AFD books). English also has something called “slang” which is slightly different from idioms. Slang is generally considered informal language and is often used by younger people (teens, young adults, etc.) and it tends to be used by these groups to set themselves apart from formal or “adult” society.
