A Serious Case

spider

The British Council has a lot of wonderful resources. You can practice listening, spelling, grammar, and expand your vocabulary.

Today’s activity has a story about a woman who is afraid of spiders. Click here to listen to the story and complete the activities.

Tell us in the comments below:

What are you afraid of?
Have you ever gotten over something you are afraid of? How did you do this?

For example:

I used to be afraid of worms. When I was a kid, someone threw a worm at me and it scared me. When I got older, I stopped being afraid of worms because they are not dangerous. I am more afraid of cockroaches now!
